Housing for All, Beacon Update - Roxanne Smith

Located at 18220 Highway 55, construction on the Cranberry Ridge apartments means families in Plymouth will soon have more options for affordable housing.

The development by Beacon Interfaith Housing Collaborative (Beacon) features 45 apartments for families of four who earn less than $52,000 a year. Twelve of the units will be for families of four who make less than $31,000 a year.

Hennepin County HRA voted for critical funding

The Hennepin County HRA (Housing and Redevelopment Authority) cast a critical vote on capital funding that impacts Vista 44 in Hopkins and Emerson Village in North Minneapolis. County Commissioners demonstrated their commitment to prioritize deeply affordable housing for those with the lowest incomes (30% AMI or $31,000 for a family of four). This is the result of excellent community organizing.
