Housing news

MICAH works with congregations, faith leaders, and community partners to increase awareness and understanding the need for affordable housing. This creates advocates who fight for changes in public policies to encourage all communities to preserve and build affordable housing.

This March in Maplewood we could see the two sides in action. There were some impassioned speeches at the Maplewood City Hall, both pro-Purple and anti-Purple. We have been able to bring together a coalition of supporters – the Purple People – allying with small businesses, neighborhood associations, and transit advocates.
