MICAH St Paul Chapter Spring 2025 Report
MICAH St. Paul met with Rebecca Noecker, who was at the time the chair of St. Paul’s Housing and Redevelopment Authority, and came away with a desire to get the word out about the City’s affordable housing programs. This has developed into a possible video series, working with St. Paul Neighborhood Networks (the local cable provider) to cover rental, ownership, and homelessness issues.
The Purple Line Bus Rapid Transit project was moving forward in fits and starts, with participation from both the St. Paul and Northeast Suburban chapters. The chapter did commit to a 2025 series of meetings with the Ramsey County Commissioners, trying to get each of them to talk about their transit and housing priorities. (There have been a series of these meetings in 2025.)
We also supported the Freedom from the Streets BBQ series during the summer, with three sessions in the Frogtown Farm Park.
Sometimes there was sun, sometimes there was rain, but there was always food, comradery, and connections! St. Timothy’s Lutheran is a key partner in this as well.
